SOUTH SHORE - Dalhousie University has opened a satellite medical school in Cape Breton for medical students who want to have a rural practice, giving priority to rural based students. There are currently two South Shore students in Cape Breton and two more at their main campus in Dalhousie.

BRIDGEWATER - After half a century on the airwaves, veteran broadcaster Rick Hamilton turned off his mic for the last time on August 31.
