With deep sadness, the family of Brian Lawrence Demone of Lunenburg shares the news of his passing on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater. Brian was 79.
Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Stuart and Margaret (Tanner) Demone. Brian’s life was firmly rooted on the South Shore, where he built a beautiful life centered around his family and community.
Brian’s career journey began at National Sea in Lunenburg, he later went on to dedicate several years to Michelin in Bridgewater before retiring after a final, satisfying role serving the Town of Lunenburg, a position that kept him close to home. A man who enjoyed movement and sport, he loved to skate and briefly took up curling. He was a lifelong participant and found great pleasure in a good game of golf at the Lunenburg Golf Club and the Old Town course in Bridgewater and always maintained a keen appreciation for classic cars.
He leaves behind his loving wife, of 57 years, Karen; his devoted children, Stephen Demone of Lunenburg and Stacey (Keith) Rumsby of Victoria, BC; and his adored grandchildren, J’Naya and Tobias; a sister, Gretchen and brother, Robert; as well as many other extended family members.
