FEENER

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Mona Marie Feener, of Wileville, who passed away at the age of 90 at South Shore Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Born in Bridgewater, on June 15, 1935, she was the daughter of Frank and Clara (Lohnes) Tanner.

During her working career mom was employed at National Sea and then at Mahone Bay Nursing Home, but what gave mom the deepest joy and greatest fulfillment in life, was spending time with her children, and then through the years, the blessing of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly treasured each moment spent with them. Mom also enjoyed gardening, music, bingo and travelling. Then there was Christmas! It was for her the most special time of year. She enjoyed it immensely. Her Christmas stocking, filled by her children, was a great joy, not having one while growing up.

Mona is survived by her loving husband, Harry Nauss; sons, Llewellyn (Debbie) Feener, Pine Grove, Lockie Feener, Northwest; daughter, Donna (Neil) Joudrey, Fauxburg; former daughter-in-law, Mazie Jesso; grandchildren, Ashley (Melissa), Cameron (Vicki), Sabrina (Ryan), Jesse (Serena); granddaughter-in-law, Michelle Feener and six great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Robert LeRoy “Billy” Feener; a son in infancy and three grandsons, Shannon, Chris and Ryan.

We would like to thank Home Care, VON, Rosedale Nursing Home and the staff of South Shore Regional Hospital for their care to our mother. Your kindness and compassionate care have been truly appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy 3, Lunenburg. A memorial service to celebrate Mona’s life will be held at a later date.
