82, of Upper LaHave, passed away on July 21, 2026 at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater. 

Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of Fred and Annie (Cook) Dares.

Annette and her late husband, Donnie, enjoyed the company of family and friends and usually hosted get togethers at their home and their beloved camp in Mush a Mush where they spent over 30 years at making memories. Annette worked for over 30 years in Lunenburg, then Halifax and Bridgewater for Service Canada. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bridgewater.

Annette is survived by brother, Merrill (Linda), Mill Creek, Cape Breton, NS, sister-in-law, Eva Dares, Bayport and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Annette is predeceased by sister, Sandra Allen; brothers, Glen and Fred; sister-in-law, Sharon Dares and brother-in- law, Jack Allen.

Arrangements are under the care of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy 3, Lunenburg and from where a celebration of Annette’s life took place on Tuesday, July 28 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg.
