MACDONALD
Gloria Edna
March 22, 2025

MacDonald, Gloria Edna – age 70, of Dublin Shore, died March 22, 2025, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Gloria was born on May 23, 1954, in Digby, NS, to Robert Norman Burns, and Rosalie Caroline Thibodeau.
Gloria was above all things a beautiful and loving mother who prioritized raising her children with dignity and values. She was a provider, protector, an advisor, and most importantly a friend to each one.
Gloria spent many years as a crisis counsellor at Harbour House helping abused women navigate the challenges of starting over. She was also known as the “mall mom” where she helped to guide many youths. Her heart and compassion were immense and what most people she met would say about her "beautiful inside and out". Her love of animals spanned her lifetime with a special favorite to raccoons.
She spent her nights having fun arguments with her devoted husband as to how much more she loved him than his love for her, making the winning claim of loving him "most-er-est plus one" leaving no room for protest. When she found Al she found her person and she will forever be his GEM (her initials). He knew that love was second to the love for her children.
We all lovingly hope she rests with love, joy and peace on this next part of her journey.
We all lovingly hope she finds love and peace.
