With immense gratitude for a life well lived, Maxwell Warren Mosher (Max), 97, formally of Rose Bay passed surrounded with love on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Hillside Pines Home for Special Care, Bridgewater.
Born in Rose Bay, December 7, 1927, he was the son of Warren and Carrie (Mossman) Mosher.
Max, blessed his family and friends with love, genuine kindness and never-ending support. Meeting new people was always important to him and when someone moved into the area he would make a point to help them feel welcome. His Christian faith was solid, finding joy and fulfillment in serving on various boards with Trinity United Church, whether it be overseeing worship as an Elder or other opportunities that arose in the church family, Max was happy to offer his gifts and talents. He was an avid curler up to the age of 90 and enjoyed a competitive Cribbage Game right to the very end and all the camaraderie that came with both activities. He also enjoyed a keen game of pool with close friends.
Max started his working career on the water as a fisherman and after starting a family he worked on shore at National Sea Products for 33 years in the Cooked Fish Dept. as a Supervisor. He also was the Rose Bay Harbour Master for over 70 years, a proud life member of the IOOF Confidence Lodge 106 and served terms on the Riverport Electric Light Commission and Riverport Board of Trade.
Over the past few years Max resided at Hillside Pines, Bridgewater, where he continued to live a vibrant life with his outgoing and pleasant personality. He made many new friends and found joy in his extended family. A heartfelt thank-you from the Mosher Family to the staff at Hillside, for the loving care given to our Dad.
