With great sadness, the family of Shirley (Veinot) Mosher, 88, of Hemford, announces her peaceful passing on June. 5, 2025. Born to the late Max and Edith (Cavell) Veinot, Shirley grew up in Hemford with her siblings.
Shirley was a woman of strength, spirit, and heart. She spent many hard-working years at the Riverport fish plant, Suttles and Sea Winds, and was well-known in the community for her beautiful handmade wreaths – each one crafted with care and pride.
At home, Shirley was known as Mama, or Grammie, and was also a devoted homemaker. She had a quick wit, and never missed a chance for a good time. Shirley had a way of bringing people together and was always up for a visit, or stories of the good old days. She was tough when needed, and softer in the quiet moments, especially when it came to her great grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Donna, Jerry (Janice), Brenton and Belinda; grandchildren; Jeremy (Mandie), Adam (Erika), Katelyn (Ed), Shelby (Brandon), Emma (Travis), Amy, Alana (Tristan) and Lori; And her 11 great grandchildren; Brother Vincent (Gail) Veinot. Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband Cliffie, son-in-law Danny, and daughter-in-law Peggy; sisters Elaine Wile of Hemford, and Patricia (Gangong) of Calgary.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, June. 29, at the Hemford Fire Hall. Family and friends were warmly invited to come together and share memories, laughter, and stories of Shirley’s life.
In her memory, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, S.H.A.I.D Tree Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.
Shirley will be remembered for her honesty, her sense of fun, and the love she showed in her own unique way. Her presence will be missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.
