Mom attended Mack Business College in Kentville and after marrying Dad and moving several times settled in Bridgewater for the next fifty years. She became office manager of Rafuse Equipment until her retirement.
Her life was a testament to loving and looking after others. Her teenage sons had a need to bring home anyone who had no place to go, and her door was always open, some staying for a day, others for a year. She always believed everyone deserved to be given a chance in life.
Everyone who knew her will have their own unique and special memories of mom, as a friend, sister, co-worker, a nanny who cherished spending time with you and was brave enough to race you on a GT, the creator of family meals and get togethers, a women who volunteered as secretary of minor baseball for over twenty years, and a mother who loved her children fiercely.
To her beautiful community of friends on St. Andrews St. who always made sure she was loved and cared for, we thank you so very much. To the nurses, doctors, and staff of the third-floor surgical unit at the South Shore Regional Hospital, thank you for the care you provided our mother.
Mom, we will always remember you as that spunky, fiercely independent spirit who loved her kids and family more than anything.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside service to be held at a later date.
