It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Redmond, 56, of Lunenburg, on June 21, 2026, at Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.


Jackie dedicated many years of service as a Teacher's Aide at Parkview Educational Centre. She was respected and appreciated by students, staff, and colleagues alike, and had a special gift for working with children. Her patience, kindness, and caring nature made a lasting difference in the lives of many young people.


Family was at the center of Jackie's life. She was known for her gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering love for those around her. Whether spending time with family, helping others, or sharing a smile and kind word, Jackie touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.


The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff in the Hospice Unit at Fishermen's Memorial Hospital. They are also thankful to Dr. Reza Ghaffari and his exceptional care, comfort, and support provided to Jackie and her family during her illness.


Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Tommy Schnare. She was a proud mother to her daughter, Ashleigh Schnare (Josh Tanner) of Garden Lots and a cherished grandmother to Mason Tanner, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Along with her husband, daughter, and grandson, Jacqueline is survived by her mother, Jean Smicer; brothers, Chris (Christine) Redmond of Spectacle Lake and Scott (Michelle) Redmond of Oxford; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.


Jackie was predeceased by her father, Patrick Redmond.


Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg, and from where a celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Unit at Fishermen's Memorial Hospital.
