SAUNDERS

Age 95, of Hebbville, NS. It is with great sadness that the family of Mildred “Mid” Rae Saunders, announce her passing on November 22, 2025, in Lunenburg, N.S. She was born February 22, 1930, to parents Dorothy (nee Law) and Raymond Titus, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

Mom took great pride in her home and gardens enjoying her beloved home on Fancy Lake for almost 50 years. She also loved spending time playing cards (Bridge was her favorite), golfing, or just visiting with friends and family with a nice glass of wine. She volunteered at numerous community organizations throughout the years as well.

Mom attended Acadia University in 1948 where she met the love of her life, William “Bill” Saunders. Together in the late 1960’s, they bought Saunders Motors Co. Ltd., in Bridgewater. The dealership continues to be run by her family, and it thrives to this day.

Besides her parents, Mom was predeceased by her husband Bill; and five siblings, Arthur (Weet), Gregory (Myra), Olga (Howard), Eleanor, and Jeanie (Eddie).

She is survived by her sons, Peter (Joyce), Jim (Rhonda), and Steven (Nadine); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Health Services Foundation of the South Shore, or a charity of your choice.

As per mom’s wishes there will be no funeral service. A Visitation was held on Saturday November 29, 2025, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, at Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater, followed by a private family Committal Service at Brookside Cemetery.
