It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Virginia (Ginny) Rose Seamone, of Branch LaHave, on September 15, 2026, at the age of 96. Ginny was born in Branch LaHave on June 17, 1930, to Charles (Keith) and Jenny Grace. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Ginny is predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Earl; her brothers, Dalton, Lawrence, Robert, Donald, William (Bill), Granville, and her second eldest brother, who died in infancy. She is survived by her children, Paulette (Harvey, deceased), Gary (Laura Lee), and Donna; her grandchildren, Jeff (Jo-Anne), Darren, Benjamin (Jennifer), Luke (Erin); and great grandchildren, Lauren, Kate (Chris), Adam, Elliott, Henry, Evelyn, and Grace. Ginny also leaves to mourn special friends, Julia, Linda & Vincent, Vickie & Vernon, Shelley & Donnie, sisters-in-law, Anne and Patsy Grace, as well as several nieces & nephews.

Ginny was profoundly loving. For those who met her, she was known for her kindness, sweetness, and gentle nature. She had a smile that made anyone feel as though they were welcome. For those who knew her well, she was known for her quick wit, her feistiness, and her strength. She created a home filled with laughter, love and warmth. As a doting mother, she cared for her children and husband, but also her parents and Earl’s uncle & aunt. She took great pride in her vibrant gardens, and loved spending time on the Christmas tree land, working and walking alongside Earl, nurturing the smaller trees, just as she did her family. She was also a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She followed with great interest all the adventures of her family, attending as many of their sports games as she could, even up to the age of 93.

Ginny was a vital part of Branch LaHave, always volunteering her time at community events and charities. At the age of 50, she was asked to join Parkview Education Centre as a cashier where she continued to embody her love and kindness in interactions with students and staff.

At the death of her husband, Ginny moved to live with her daughter, Donna, in Canning, where she received excellent care and companionship. Although she no longer had a garden of her own, Gary continued to bring her mayflowers every Spring, and her friends brought bouquets when they visited. She enjoyed listening to music, watching curling, game shows, and the news, cuddling her kitties, and looking at pictures of the family she created.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, and a commitment to her family. The family would like to thank her caregivers Ashley and Heidi, as well as the VON staff that attended to her needs. A special thanks to Dr Diane Edmonds for not only taking care of her medical needs, but also for her care and affection. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Valley Regional Hospital who treated Ginny with wonderful care, compassion, and integrity in her final hours.

No funeral by request. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for both Ginny and Earl. Donations can be made to SHAID Animal Shelter, New Germany Lions Club, or VON.
