It is with great sadness that the family of Faye Katherine Thompson (nee Kehoe) announces her passing on July 18, 2026, at the Mahone Bay Nursing Home at the age of 86.

Born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, she was the eldest daughter of the late Charles Kehoe and Dorothy Kehoe (MacDonald).

Faye will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Cheryl Thompson, Halifax; son Kenneth Thompson (Lorilie), Woodstock, Ontario, grandson Charles and sister Shirley Anne (Tim) Pemberton. Faye is predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Thompson, daughter Michele Thompson, brother Wayne Kehoe, and sister Joan Porter.

Faye spent 54 years married to the love of her life. The early part of their marriage was spent in various locations throughout Canada, until they eventually settled in Bridgewater in 1973. She was quite the dog lover, and she loved sharing memories of all the four-legged friends that passed through her life. She was a kind and gentle person, but she also had a particularly sly sense of humour that she would share with those she knew well.

Faye’s family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Mahone Bay Nursing Home and the South Shore Regional Hospital for the care they provided to her.

There will be no visitation or flowers. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the South Shore Health Foundation.
